Preschool

Rainey went to a daycare until she turned 3 years old. We did not really like the daycare but loved the teacher. She had an awesome teacher but at 3 they had to move  her from that classroom into the .. well, 3 year old classroom. We did not like the 3 year old teacher nor did Rainey and so we decided to part ways and to find a different school. I found what I thought was an awesome school but it turned out to be just pretty, shiny wrapping paper without much of a present inside the expensive outer wrapping. Rainey hated going and it was a hassle to get her there and have her stay. So, that lasted about 3 weeks and we were not sure what to do at that point (last October). I asked around and found out about a half day pre school where you could go on Mon, Wed, Fri schedule or Tues, Thursday schedule. Well, we tried the full week thing for about a month and found out it did not work and again she hated going and so we ended up with just Tues and Thursdays which worked out great. She went until May and then nothing over the summer. They are on the public school schedule and so we are off in the summers and Christmas time and days when the school is not in session. The great news is that this year she is in the 4 year old class and she loves it. She goes 5 days a week from 9:30 to 1:30 which I think it reasonable. It is quite a ways from us and takes me 15 min to drive her to school and 15 min back to the house and then again at 1:15 I have to leave to get her and back again but it is worth it to have her with the same teachers and friends. It is great having her excited about going to school each morning and they learn so much.
