Update on the pictures
I find it easy to put pictures from my phone onto the blogger but am not fast at typing on my phone so I tend to wait until I can sit down in front of a computer and type and explain the pictures.
On Saturday -Tom was in Anchorage so after Rainey's commercial class we headed up to the Thousand Oaks area and we went first to the Underwood Farms to find our pumpkin. Well, actually our second pumpkin :) our first one got moldy and had to be thrown away. Our second pumpkin is sitting on the kitchen table waiting to be dissected since we are using it for a "pumpkin investigation science unit " so far we have identified the parts of the pumpkin (who knew there were so many) and put together a mini book all about pumpkins and finally made our predictions and today we are going to ... ta da finish the unit and carve our pumpkin - after counting every seed inside. :)
back to Underwood farms... it was really nice. Rainey ate pumpkin pie, corn on the cob, frozen ice with rainbow flavor on top. Then we were headed to the haunted walk that started at 6 pm in Thousand Oaks and so we changed her costume in the car and headed over. It was so much fun. After waiting 45 minutes in line to get tickets they were down to 8:45 and 8:50 for the walk and we got 8:45. I thought==== holy smokes two hours from now but it actually worked out good. We headed to the trick or treat line which Rainey described as being "ridiculous" and decided to ditch it for the reptile show.. you saw her on stage holding a frog and then after a bathroom break we were able to get in the trick or treat line since it had died down but still took us an hour to get through. Rainey was thoroughly happy with it and all the "loot" she got in her "loot scoop" and finally the walk which was really good and Rainey said was the best part of the night... we got back to the apartment a little after 10 pm and had to be out the door at 4:30 am to pick Tom up at LAX. He comes in on the nonstop from Anchorage and at that time in the morning the traffic is pretty easy going. Rainey just puts on her UGG boots and keeps her jammies on and off we go.
Halloween activities for this week. Thursday she has her acting coach coming here from 12-1 and then Improv class from 4-6 and then they are doing a Halloween Improv comedy show here at the complex and then on Friday we have her voice over coach coming here from noon=1:30 and then we go to Glendale for her music -singing lessons and then they are having a huge Halloween party from 6-9:30 here at the complex which should turn out really good. They do a good job - they have a whole activities department for the child acting -actors program. Then on Saturday we are going to get in the car early and head over to St. George to go trick or treating with my cousin Gail and her family- have lunch with them on Sunday after they get out of church and then head back to LA.
November - I am planning on being in Anchorage for a few days - I need some time to get the house cleaned before Thanksgiving and Christmas. I have only been there 3 days in the past 3 months and it looks like it :) Our plan at Thanksgiving it to go in a few days early and have our Thanksgiving on Wed instead of Thursday and that way all the family can come for our Thanksgiving and then we will head out on Thursday and head over to Phoenix so Tom can enjoy the Turkey boogie and Rainey and I can do the Phoenix stuff we like to do that time of year.
